Conservative Senedd leader Darren Millar called the move as “deliberate disregard” likely to perceived poorly across the United States and termed “deeply regrettable”. Millar noted that the nation should be represented during the major event, adding how government deputies could have attended on her behalf. According to government data, America is the second largest trading partners to Wales, even if the EU remains the top market in total. Earlier this year, Morgan cautioned that the country might be harder hit from American import taxes because of a stronger dependence on goods exports.
